- Two minutes. No account is needed for the first run.
Check your teaching resume
1. Open the checker
First check is free and anonymous.
2. Add your resume
Upload PDF, DOCX or image, or paste the text.
3. Enter the teaching role
“Elementary teacher”, “high school math teacher”, “special education teacher” — one at a time.
4. Review the keyword gap
Certifications, subjects, grade levels and methods your target role expects.
5. Rewrite and re-check
Use the suggestions, then confirm the score moved.
What the output looks like
A clean table you can import — not a wall of text you have to re-key.
Sample report
0–100Illustrative output. Your scores depend on the role you target.
Supported banks and formats
The parser is trained on statement layouts, not one bank's template. These are the most common; anything with a table and a balance column is worth trying.
Classroom keywords by category
District screening runs on precise strings. Cover all four categories:
- Certifications and licenses
- Use official names — “State of Texas EC-6 Certification”, not “teaching license” — and list endorsement subjects.
- Subjects and grade levels
- State them literally: “Grades 6–8 mathematics”. Districts search these exact strings.
- Methodologies
- Differentiated instruction, IEP support, RTI, project-based learning — name the frameworks your target posting uses.
- Classroom tools
- Google Classroom, Canvas, PowerSchool — EdTech names are keyword-match targets too.
- One role per check
- Because you enter a target role, check “elementary teacher” and “high school biology teacher” separately — the keyword gaps genuinely differ.
Teacher FAQ
Should student teaching appear on my resume?
Yes, formatted like any teaching role: school, subject, grade levels, dates, and two or three quantified bullets. It's a legitimate source of classroom keywords early in your career.
How do I handle substitute teaching for ATS?
Name it plainly (“Substitute Teacher”), list the districts and grade ranges, and include curriculum-delivery terms. It demonstrates classroom coverage that screening systems can index.
I'm certified in another state — what do I write?
State the actual credential you hold with its issuing body, and mention any reciprocity or in-progress certification explicitly. Parsers match what's written, so write the real credential name.
